Project Scope: Warehouse Layout & Pallet Racking Design for New Facility Using 3D Modeling

The customer was expanding greatly and was preparing to move into a brand-new facility and wanted to make the most of the opportunity to build a highly efficient and scalable warehouse operation from scratch. With no existing infrastructure or layout, they needed a full-scale pallet racking design that would support optimal workflow, space utilization, and long-term growth.

They were specifically looking for a partner who could take their requirements and turn them into a visual plan — one that provided clarity, reduced risk, and aligned with their operational goals.

We partnered with them early in their relocation process to design a complete custom pallet racking solution. Using advanced 3D modeling software, our team created a digital twin for their new warehouse space. This allowed us to test multiple racking layouts, model forklift travel paths, and optimize placement based on product volume, picking frequency, and inventory categories.

The 3D visualization gave the customer confidence in the design decisions before any equipment was installed, saving time and avoiding costly changes during build-out. Our layout emphasized maximizing storage density while maintaining efficient pick paths and access.
